![]() ![]() Your feedback is super insightful! I think we have good intent between the two of us working on this, we care about privacy and want to make the product in a way we think people find super useful. We stand by saying no ads in the app and our users are certainly not the product. The main reason for not having it in early has been prioritisation on figuring out what things are most helpful to people. While the app is currently free, we will add a pro tier, likely in the next month, which will have extra features. We stick to best practices with strong auth to keep data secure and use Google Cloud & Mongo for auth/database which is locked down to our API backend. Using iCloud sync would not really be possible for the functionality in the app and things planned in the future. Also importantly, to allow cross-platform functionality with Android/web in the future which is requested a bunch and we're excited to get to it. I appreciate your concerns and am happy to address them! The primary benefit of using our own database is to have a better user experience, especially when sharing plans between family and friends.
